Connexus Co-location Facilities
High-powered, realiable and secure
Why re-invent the wheel? It’s a question that’s been asked countless times, yet many companies still believe it’s the only way to go.
Any business considering building their own mini data-centre to manage their internet and network requirements will need to consider the likes of uninterruptible power supply (UPS) and back-up, an industrial-grade cooling system, internet backbone connections, fibre optic cabling, security, servicing, fire protection, racking, routers, the list goes on and on, as does the cost.
Connexus can provide all the above and more at a fraction of the cost of setting it up yourself. As a business-grade service provider, Connexus offer co-location facilities in various sites across Australia.
Sharing data centre infrastructure costs makes sound financial sense, and when the shared benefits of security, reliability and support are also considered, co-location is simply a smart business decision.
Connexus co-location facilities offer:
- Industry standard 19” racking
- Direct internet connection to our core routers via high speed Ethernet
- Dual UPS power systems for guaranteed power supply
- Industry leading Liebert cooling equipment to maintain an optimal air environment
- Industry leading VESDA air monitoring fire detection equipment
- Comprehensive Service Agreements incorporating performance & reliability targets
- 24/7 direct access to an experienced Network Engineer
The following choice of internet connection options is available in all our capital city co-locations: Single or Dual 10 Mbps Ethernet access or Single or Dual 100 Mbps Ethernet access.
Connexus offers co-location as a component within a complete package of Connexus services, for example with a high-speed fibre connection or a Virtual Private Network (VPN).
In the case of the VPN, because the co-location is connected directly to Connexus core routers, customer’s sites connected to the VPN are brought as close as possible to the customer’s co-location equipment which minimises intermediary links and latency, reduces points of failure, and offers the highest possible performance levels.
Other benefits of co-location, less tangible than reduced capital outlay, are the freeing-up of internal networks for other uses, the likelihood of improved web site access speeds, and the company has greater freedom to focus on core activities.
