DLink DSL-200 USB ADSL Modem - Bridge Installation for Windows 98

1. Double click the “My Computer” icon on your desktop.
2. Within the My Computer window, double click your CD-ROM drive and locate the Setup.exe file.
   
   
   
3. Double click the “Setup” icon.
   
   
   
4. Welcome to the D-Link DSL-200 ADSL Modem Setup.
5. Click the “Next>” button.
   
   
   
6. Select your ISP.
7. Choose “Other Service Provider”.
8. Click the “Next>” button.
   
   
   
9. Select driver type.Choose the “LAN Driver”.
10. Click the “Next>” button.
    
    
    
11. Enter your communication settings.VPI=8, VCI=35Encapsulation = RFC 1483 IPoATM Bridged LLC EncapsulationModulation = G.DMT
    
    
    
12. Setup has enough information to start copying the driver files.
13. Click the “Next>” button.
    
    
    
14. The DSL Installer has finished copying the files to your computer.Click the “Finish” button.
    
    
    
15. Please plug the DSL-200 modem into your computer.
    
    
    
16. Windows 98 has detected the D-Link DSL-200 USB ADSL Modem.
    
    
    
17. The installation may need some files from your Windows 98 CD.
18. Type in the location of your Windows 98 CD and press the “OK” button.
    
    
    
19. You must restart your computer.Click the “YES” button.

22. After your computer has restarted you will see two training arrows on your system tray.
23. Right mouse click the “Network Neighborhood” icon on your desktop.
24. Select “Properties”.
    
    
    
25. Select “TCP/IP -> D-Link DSL-200 USB ADSL Modem(LAN)”.
26. Click the “Properties” button.
    
    
    
27. Select “Specify an IP address”.Enter in your IP Address and Subnet Mask.
    
    
28. Click the “Gateway” tab.Enter in your New gateway address and click the “Add” button.
    
    
    
29. Click the “DNS Configuration” tab.
30. Select “Enable DSN”.
31. In the Host field, type Connexus.
32. Under DSN Server Search Order, enter 203.12.22.10 and click the “Add” button.
33. Under DSN Server Search Order, enter 203.12.22.20 and click the “Add” button.
34. Click the “OK” button. (This will return you to the Network window)
35. Click the “OK” button once more.
    
    
    
36. You must restart your computer.
37. Click the “YES” button.
38. Next > Set your Internet Options to “Never dial a connection”
39. Set your Internet Options to “Never dial a connection.
    
    
    
40. Open up Internet Explorer.
41. Click on the “Tools” link at the top.
42. From the Tools drop down menu, click on “Internet Options”.
    (This will open up the Internet Options window.)
43. Click on the “Connections” tab.
44. If not greyed out, select “Never dial a connection”.
45. Click the “Apply” button then the “OK” button.
