DLink DSL-200 USB ADSL Modem - PPPoE Installation for Windows 98

1. Double click the "My Computer" icon on your desktop.
2. Within the My Computer window, double click your CD-ROM drive and locate the Setup.exe file.
   
   
   
3. Double click the "Setup" icon.
   
   
   
4. Welcome to the D-Link DSL-200 ADSL Modem Setup.
5. Click the "Next>" button.
   
   
   
6. Select your ISP.
7. Choose "Other Service Provider".
8. Click the "Next>" button.
   
   
   
9. Select driver type.
10. Choose the "WAN Driver".
11. Click the "Next>" button.
    
    
    
12. Enter your communication settings.
13. VPI=8, VCI=35
14. Encapsulation = RFC 2364 PPPoATM LLC Encapsulation
15. Modulation = G.DMT
    
    
    
16. Setup has enough information to start copying the driver files.
17. Click the "Next>" button.
    
    
    
18. The DSL Installer has finished copying the files to your computer.
19. Click the "Finish" button.
    
    
    
20. Please plug the DSL-200 modem into your computer.
    
    
    
21. Windows 98 has detected the D-Link DSL-200 USB ADSL Modem.
    
    
    
22. The installation may need some files from your Windows 98 CD.
23. Type in the location of your Windows 98 CD and press the "OK" button.
    
    
    
24. You must restart your computer.
25. Click the "YES" button.

Next > Connect to Connexus

Connect to Connexus  

1. After your computer has restarted you will see:
   1. D-Link Dial-up PPP Connection icon on your desktop.
   2. Two training arrows on your system tray.
   
2. Double click the "D-Link Dial-up PPP Connection" icon.
   
   
   
3. Enter your username and password.
4. Note: your username in this instance is your complete email address.
5. Tick "Save Password".
6. Click the "Connect" button.
7. Congratulations, you have successfully connected to Connexus and enabled a PPPoE session.

Set the D-Link Dial-up PPP Connection as your default connection

1. Open up Internet Explorer.
2. Click on the "Tools" link at the top.
3. From the Tools drop down menu, click on "Internet Options".
   (This will open up the Internet Options window.)
4. Click on the "Connections" tab.
5. Select the "D-Link Dial-up PPP Connection".
6. Click the "Set Default" button.
7. Select "Always dial my default connection".
8. Click the "Apply" button then the "OK" button.
