New features unveiled in CloudLine

From listening to our customers, we know that flexibility is a key need for businesses of all sizes, and that’s why we’re excited to introduce a pair of new features in CloudLine that makes it easier to work how you want to.


Say no to the overload of technology


Every business owner wants to simplify their life, whether they’re a one-man band or heading up a team of hundreds. The only problem is that, more often than not, you’re forced to use an abundance of different technologies to carry out a single task – and this inevitably wastes your time.


The answer isn’t more systems to learn or extra platforms to manage – it’s consolidation. Simplicity. Freedom.


Why did the smartphone become so ubiquitous in society? Because it combined a phone, music player, GPS and more into one little device in the palm of your hand.


CloudLine helps to simplify your business communications for the better, giving you your time back to focus on what you love.


CloudLine can now replace your fax, as well as your phone line


Our ‘Fax to Email’ feature now gives you the ability to have incoming faxes delivered straight to your email as PDFs. Get rid of the worry of missing out on important messages simply because you weren’t standing by the fax machine when they came through.


Businesses want to keep their fax for customer experience, but rarely send faxes themselves, so the Fax to Email feature doesn’t support sending outbound faxes at this point.


We’re always listening to our customer’s feedback, though, so watch this space!


Important to note: you’ll be limited to one fax number per CloudLine account.


Previously, if you wanted to keep your phone number active while making the move to CloudLine, you'd have to get rid of the fax service. Now, you can keep both – and it won't cost extra!


Turn on Business Hours anytime, anywhere


We know that no two days are the same, especially when you’re running your own business.


Our existing ‘Business Hours’ feature lets you change the caller experience based on the day and time of a call. Typically, this means sending calls to a voicemail if a customer calls outside the hours your business is open.


If you work the same hours every day, then it’s no hassle to set this feature correctly once and not worry about it. But our customers told us that sometimes they need to leave the office early, or they take a long weekend, or get caught up with some cheeky Friday drinks…


That’s why we’ve made it even easier to activate Business Hours. There are times that you don't want to muck about with the 'global' settings; there’s other times where you can’t change them (if you’re out on the road and forgot to set some updated hours, for instance).


Now, when you need to temporarily set yourself as ‘out of office’, Business Hours can be turned on/off at the touch of a button or via a star code punched into your app/softphone/desk phone.
